Busoga Trust America is organized solely for charitable purposes and has been granted tax exempt status by the IRS. 100% of the organization’s overheads are covered by its founders so every penny you give goes to fund our work in Africa. Each donation, large or small, funds a specific project. We’ll notify you of which project you helped fund so you can track its progress on one of the project pages. Your name will be posted as a well sponsor on the page unless you want to keep your donation anonymous.

Each project costs $6,000 in total including the new well and pump system, hygiene education, improved sanitation infrastructure and building the social organization needed to maintain the new community asset. With as many as 500 people served by each well, it can cost as little as $12 to provide fresh water for one person, $60 for a family.

To Host a Well Fundraiser:

Anyone can conduct a fundraiser to sponsor a well. If you are interested in hosting a fundraising event, consider a sponsored run, a series of dinner parties or a family project.
